Marking the occasion of World Diabetes Day, Shree Mahavir Jain hospital, Thane has organized a free health checkup camp on 14th November 2021. In this camp, the doctor will check, Blood pressure, Eye check-up, Blood sugar and, free Doctor’s Consultation. The camp will be conducted from 9 am onwards along with a team of experienced doctors.
Commenting on this, Dr. Sunil Katkade, Chief Medical Director & Advisor and Sr. Anesthesiologist & Intensivist says,“Diabetes if left untreated can lead to several short-term and long-term illnesses. Through the health checkup camp, we want to educate the people of Thane and nearby areas about the Prevention of Diabetes and its complications. Various studies have shown that the high incidence of diabetes in India is mainly because of sedentary lifestyle, lack of physical activity, obesity, stress, and consumption of diets rich in fat, sugar, and calories. The earlier it is detected, it is better to prevent its complications.”
