For the same reason most Indian manufacturers stay away from it as it is very critical, here I am sharing an Interview with Mr. Rishu Arora, Director Unimeditrek Pvt Ltd
Can you tell me a little about yourself?
I, Rishu Arora, have done Bsc. In Computer Engineering and MSc. In Mechatronics. I started my carrier in 2003 and setup first Research and Development Center focusing on pathology. Later after almost 5 years we formed Unimeditrek Private Limited with prime focus on Histopathology, keeping in mind Remote Support & and Operator Safety while designing and offering all our products to the market at a very competitive prices with European Quality.
What has surprised you the most about the Healthcare industry?
I am quite apprised by some of customers still preferring European Products over Indian product without giving quality manufacturers like us a chance. This is when some of the manufacturers like us make products better than European products or are OEM like us to big European brands, which get the product done from us and sell it back to customers under their brand name. Customers just end up paying more for something which only has a European brand tag. I feel this has to change in the coming years for local manufactures to gain more confidence and go to next level and setup multinational companies.
How did you get into the field of Histopathology Equipment industry?
When we started our Research Center back in 2003, we saw there was very limited competition in this field. The main reason was because Histopathology products cannot fail to perform as they perform very critical task for the doctors.
For the same reason most Indian manufacturers stay away from it as it is very critical. We saw major manufacturers in the field of Histopathology were from Europe and we took it as our mission to compete with them by offering a better product with features like remote support/remote alarm/remote operation which are very unique to all our offerings and give our customers peace of mind as they are always in control of their machine without any geographical borders.
What has been your biggest challenge in achieving company goals?
Of course the biggest challenge was selling our make products to customers as we were very new to the market competing against top companies of the world. We are very thankful to all our initial customers who gave us opportunity to prove our product. Today we don’t just sell product to our customers, we support them till last level until they are satisfied with the results they get from all our machines.
We are proud to have our machines installed in the most prestigious hospitals all across india and our customers love us for our remote support which is instant at a click of a button on their machine. Competitors still struggle to provide the same.
Sir, what do you consider the most important contribution of your professional experiences to Unimeditrek Pvt Ltd? What was your role?
I think the most important contribution was the vision we set for our company. We wanted to be counted among the best, and all our team has worked really hard, day and night to make this vision a reality. Today there is hardly any customer in any region of India who is not known about our offerings, excellent service and quality we offer.
As per your opinion What is the one thing that makes Unimeditrek Pvt ltd products unique from others in the industry?
